There are several techniques to simulate rebar reinforced concrete, such as smeared model, discrete embedded CLIS (constrained Lagrange in solid) and CBIS beam model. In this study, however, the interaction between concrete elements reinforcement is only simulated by model The efficiency accuracy comparisons investigated with reference analysis results both models provided LS-DYNA explicit finite element software. geometric created using LS-PrePost, general purpose preprocessing software for meshing. meshed imported where input files then analyzed. Winfrith CSCM material options employed describe damage behavior. capable of isotropic kinematic hardening plasticity. load versus midspan deflection curves correlate those experiment. Under conditions same level accuracy, evaluated have following advantages over First, it has advantage reducing time required FE modeling; second, saving computer CPU due a reduction total number nodes; third, securing good aspect ratio elements.
